A PEI personal delivery that turned into an adventure

It was a Wednesday just before the August long weekend. Our last day in the office before we left for the cottage. A call comes in from a Prince Edward Island Blue Cross client named Michel. Knowing that we were leaving the next day for the Island, we agreed to deliver it ourselves. We called Blue Cross, received a quick approval, packed up the Solo II and put it in the vehicle ready for the trip.

We arrived at our cottage on the Island Thursday just after midnight, a 13 hour drive including stops. We looked up the address and realized it was still another hour from our cottage in an area of the island we don't get to visit as often. We decided to make a day of it and contacted the client for a Saturday delivery.

After visiting Charlottetown and the Farmers Market, we drove East to Murray River. We arrived at a very cute house by the river and was greeted by Michel and his wife. They were very happy to see us and were very welcoming. They gave us a tour of their property and recommended local places to see and stop by for something to eat.

Our next stop was Kings Castle Provincial park. Lots of great playground equipment, walking paths, fun little forts and a nice beach. After enjoying some time, we headed to the recommended local food truck How Boat This Lobster Bar for a fresh lobster roll which Stephanie thoroughly enjoyed.

After eating, we weren't done yet, we drove to Panmure Island Beach for a really nice ocean session. Highly recommended, the beach, water and view was great. We had a wonderful swim and walk, a must visit for anyone on the East side of the island.

We then headed over to Montague to eat at The Lucky Bean. Tasty chowder, a good sandwich and some desserts. A great end to an awesome day.

What started as a business delivery turned into a great day for all.
